In this episode, Daisie, Joseph and Maciah sat down for an impromptu episode with Channel 12 reporter, Chelsea Sick. Chelsea had just finished teaching a live shot workshop to Oyler's video production class before this episode where she taught students the skill of being live on camera. Her main message: It's okay to not be perfect when you're on TV.

First and foremost, we'd like to say thank you to the entire crew of "Wise Guys," the upcoming film starring Robert De Niro, for donating furniture, glass wear, office supplies, lamps, and so much more, to Oyler and our families. The three crew members you hear from on this episode were instrumental in making sure the supplies and furniture made it from the set, to their office, and then to Oyler these past two weeks. Thank you all for your generous donation and for the amazing upgrade to our podcasting table! Best of luck on your next project!

The Media Arts Apprenticeship is for 7th & 8th grade students that excelled in the Media Arts Primer class at Oyler. These students are learning how to write, interview sources, photography, take video & more as they become journalists who will produce quality content for the Oyler & Lower Price Hill community.
This episode was recorded immediately after they finished their first big assignment: Interview a faculty member at Oyler & record audio of the interview.
The 5 Media Arts Apprentices this spring are Amaiah, Jordan, Lashanti, Salma & Mia. They all rocked their first interviews & had plenty to reflect on in this episode. You might learn more about one of the members of the Oyler family that was interviewed!

Larry Seward has reported the news on TV in cities like Houston, Kansas City and now his hometown: Cincinnati, at Channel 9. He feels especially at home here though, because Cincy is where he grew up - his mom even taught at Oyler.
Larry talks everything from advice to high school students in our media arts program to the importance of diversity in the newsroom & lessons learned from covering stories in dangerous areas like in Joplin, Missouri, after the 2011 tornado nearly wiped out the whole town.
